Location
Paleokastritsa is the most picturesque resort of Corfu and is famous for the dramatic scenery, the numerous caves and isolated beaches along its coast, as well as the popular attractions of Aggelocastro and Monastery. Paleokastritsa is situated along the northwest coast of the island, 24 km away from Corfu town.
You will find Akron opposite Akrotiri Beach hotel, on the right side of “Agia Triada” beach, which is the first of the five main bays of Paleokastritsa.
The Beach
Agia Triada beach (means Holy Trinity in Greek) is a mixture of sand and pebbles and offers a pleasant environment for sunbathing and swimming. Although it is only few meters away from the main street going across Paleokastritsa, the beach is hidden away by the olive trees and the sloped terrain. As a result, it is a peaceful place away from the street noise.
"Agia Triada" is an organised public beach. The showers and the changing cabins on the beach are public amenities and free of charge. There are also sun-beds and umbrellas to rent, boat hire, water-sports and the scuba-diving school.
Driving Here
From Corfu town, you need to follow the road to Paleokastritsa which is the main road that connects Corfu town with the north parts of the island. You must drive straight ahead this road for 23 kilometers (14.5 miles) to arrive to Paleokastritsa.
Akron is 400 meters after the main entrance of Paleocastritsa hotel and 250 meters after the entrance of Akrotiri Beach hotel. You need to follow the sign below and walk or drive left down the small asphalt road.
